Think about it. Take water, seperate hydrogen from oxygen, get fuel. Exhaust? Heat, and air. It’s already been done in some motorcycles. Not very expensive either.
Why isn't hydrogen gas considered for fueling cars? It can be made relatively safe?

Can we run out of hydrogen?

Not enough corn for ethanol! What is the problem with hydrogen fueled cars?

For this question, assume that all gas powered cars were current technology hydrogen fueled cars and all gas stations were hydrogen fueling stations. Would this solve our problems? What is up side and down side compared to what we have today.
Not cost effective and insufficient technology. Score oil-1 and hydrogen-0?
Thanks one and all.
How soon will cars with hydrogen fuel cells be available?

My first thought is after all the oil is gone… Or maybe when it’s too late to make an impact on global warming? Take the electric car for example. The auto industry and oil companies didn’t have a monopoly on electric cars, so they had to go away. Even though the infrastructure required for hydrogen will be many times more expensive to build then electric, and it will take many years more until we can see hydrogen fuel cell vehicles operating on our roads. I’m afraid by the time these vehicles are widely available, it will be too little, too late. We could be making a difference everyday with electric vehicles today. Unlike hydrogen fuel cell cars, it’s a technology of today, not tomorrow. And you could charge an electric car at home…How easy! Unfortunately, the auto industry and the oil companies wouldn’t make money that way.
What company, or companies are making hydrogen fuel cells for cars?

When can people expect hydrogen fuel cell cars to be the regular car?

When are those hydrogen fuel cell cars going to be mainstream?
September 19, 2008 By
Come on, folks. The technology has been there since the 60′s. My dad had a H2 generator onboard his Naval ship during ‘Nam. Gas is so darn expensive, and using farmland for the sugar needed for biofuel is causing people all over the world to starve. When the heck are H2 cars going to be widely available and mainstream? All we need are companies to make them, and other companies to start producing the hydrogen.
