What are some good car ride games for kids and teens?
I have a young teenager and school age child, I need some printable car games, or any old game! It’s a six hour drive and I need some ideas please!

Here are a couple of our favourites:
1. Cows – if you’ll be travelling through farm country only – won’t work in cities. You keep your eyes open for cows, and the first to see a herd yells “My cows!”. You then do a rough count, and that person gets that many points. You can play to a total (like 500) or just play until you’re tired of it. The best part is … When you see a cemetery, yell “your cows are dead” and the other players lose all of their cows and go back to zero.
2. I’m going on a trip… This is our favourite campfire game but will work in the car too. First person starts and says “I’m going on a trip and I am taking X with me.” X can be anything they want but they have to set a pattern. For example, if their first name is Mary, they might use the first letter of their first name and say “I’m going on a trip and I am taking mangoes with me”. The next person tries to determine what the pattern is, by saying the same phrase but substituting in what they think matches the pattern. We do this with first names, # of letters in name (e.g. Say 4 mangoes because Mary has 4 letters), middle initials, phone numbers, hair colour, whatever. We very often have to give up but it’s fun to try to keep guessing.

What are some good car games that have car modifications?
I have an Xbox 360 that I never use and I am looking for some racing games that have some pretty good car mod and tuning to it. I have been looking at Midnight club la, Apex, and Forza motor sport 3. I prefer them to have american muscle cars.

Forza 3, it’s a great game, not too many muscle cars, but it does have a quite a bit and their okay. So if by mod and tuning you mean performance tuning, definitely Forza 3.

I have a 2 hour drive up and back tomorrow. What are some fun car games, besides I spy, that my 4 yr old girl and 6 yr old boy can play? Thanks!

Hmm. Try a Gameboy or something like that. Or if your not into videogames you can try coloring books or a v-tech or um..Pick a color and see how many cars you can find of that color. Or pick a state and see how many cars have a liscese plate of that state.

My boyfriend plays a lot of car games and in a few of them you can buy other peoples cars and they look fantastic but he doesn’t know how to do his own and he really wants to. Does anyone know how?
By custom I mean like pictures of cartoon characters, movie stars etc

The old Need for Speed games up until Porsche Unleashed had detailed cockpits.
Also the game GT Legends (from the same people that did GTR2) has an detailed inside view.
