how are the western economies going to cope the the end of the oil age, without the way every oil barrel is bought in us dollars the value of the dollar will be next to nothing and inflation will screw the country and if america goes the rest of the western world is sure to follow , and with out the west to sell their goods to what will the rest of the world do for trade ,

I’d be more worried about the effects of bailouts around the world, the coming hyperinflation and fall of the fiat currencies. Oil will once again rise in price but it won’t be traded in worthless currencies. Hydrogen fuelled cars are decades away, if ever, and oil will be with us for at least 50 more years.
