Michael asks…
How often can you put hydrogen peroxide in your ear to fight off an ear infection?
I started 3 days ago…day 1 I put the hydrogen peroxide in my ear morning and night, day 2 I did it morning and night and day 3 I did it at night…should I keep doing it once a day for a few more days or should I stop?
admin answers:
Seriously, it’s not going to cure any infection. You risk permanent ear damage, either from this silly and irresponsible treatment or from the infection getting worse.
Go and see a doctor before your infection becomes life-threatening.

Can you mix colloidal silver and hydrogen peroxide for an ear infection safely?
Can you mix colloidal silver and hydrogen peroxide for an ear infection safely?
I refuse to use antibiotics and drugs. I have used hydrogen peroxide in my ear since I was a baby for wax buildup in my ear, I’m simply wondering if it’s safe to mix Colloidal Silver with it. I have never had any problems with hydrogen peroxide except some irritation if I use it 3 days in a row.

While many people with ear aches rush to the doctor to obtain a prescription for antibiotic ear drops or oral medication, others prefer to attempt to treat this common ailment at home before resorting to commercial medicine. In some cases, over-the-counter products such as hydrogen peroxide and colloidal silver, which is available at many health food stores, can treat ear infections successfully without medical intervention.

Richard asks…
My dogs ear smells and is crusty inside, do you know if its ok to pour hydrogen peroxide in his ear to cleanit?
Is it ok to pour hydrogen peroxide in your dogs ear to get rid of an infection, or will that harm them in some way? Need help.
admin answers:
No do not use Hydrogen Peroxide. Call you vet and get a ear cleaner. It is not that expensive and will clean his ear with out harming it. Also if he has an ear infection he will need to be seen by the vet so he can get a cream and maybe even anti biotic. Dogs are not different then if a kid gets an ear infection it needs to be treated or he could lose his hearing. One of my dogs is hard of hearing b/c he had an infection when he was younger and the vet had a hard time treating him. Took over 3 months to get in under control and that was getting him in as soon as possible too. This is not something you want to let go.

Lizzie asks…
what happens if you get hydrogen peroxide in my ear?
about two nights ago i was cleaning my earrings while they were in my ear.. i accidentally poured some hydrogen peroxide down into my ear, and now i am having a throbbing pain in my jaw and my ear occasionlly hurts. could that be why i am having these symptoms? pleasee help.
im getting scared and dont want to have to go to the doctor for it! thanks.
admin answers:
You probably just got it too far into your ear, water can do the same thing.
Try to lay on that side to allow it to drain out and rinse your ear out with water.
Peroxide in your ear won’t cause problems in itself, I have to use it often to clean out my ears to prevent ear infections.

David asks…
Is it okay to put hydrogen peroxide in your ear?
I have an ear ache and want to try and clean it out. Is hydrogen peroxide okay? And what is the best home remedy you know of?
admin answers:
Some people drink and even inject it straight into their veins. So I don’t think it will hurt your ear. But, I would put baby oil in there first. It is what doctors recommend using.

Jenny asks…
Safe to use hydrogen peroxide to soften ear wax?
Several years ago, a doctor told me to use undiluted hydrogen peroxide to remove ear wax, and it’s been quite effective. Lately, though a couple of people have told me that’s not safe, and that I should only use warm vegetable oil or over-the-counter drug store solutions.

If you own a simple bottle of Hydrogen Peroxide, commonly known as just plain peroxide, you can put your q-tips to better use! Hydrogen Peroxide seems to magically dissolve ear wax laying in the ear canal, and it’s completely safe and doctor recommended!
So here is how it works. Get a bottle of hydrogen peroxide from any drug store or most conveniently, in your medicine cabinet. You will need two cotton balls and two Q-tips. You may want to warm up the peroxide a little bit by pouring a few tablespoons in a glass and place the glass in warm water for about five minutes.
Fill about half a capful of hydrogen peroxide back into the lid of the bottle. Lay on one side of your body so that your head is propped up slightly to be completely level with your body. You are going to slowly pour the peroxide into your ear canal until your ear is full.
You should immediately start feeling little tiny bubbles come to the surface of your ear. It may feel a little weird and mat cause a tickle or itch, just bear through it, in time you’ll learn to relax through it. You may hear what sounds like large bubbles pushing the rest of the peroxide into your ear, sometimes these feel like pressure, but it doesn’t cause any harm. As a matter of fact, that’s just a sign that the peroxide is deep enough into your ear canal to clean the ear wax from the ear.

Helen asks…
my brother put hydrogen peroxide in his ear to clean out the wax and now he has gone deaf?
He’s in the hospital and the doctors are saying there is nothing they can do about his loss of hearing. Is this normal? Will he get his hearing back????
I thought that hydrogen peroxide is safe for ears and ear wax????
He’s in the hospital now and they’re saying that there is nothing they can do about his hearing loss
admin answers:
Hydrogen peroxide is safe, even in your ears,
I have never heard anyone use it to remove ear wax.
Its more likely that an infection damaged his ears.
There only 2 ways to lose hearing, a ruptured eardrum, or nerve damage.
Hydrogen peroxide will not rupture an eardrum, nor will it damage nerves.
Nerves can regenerate over time, your brother should regain his hearing but theres no guarantee it will happen.
