If based on my income I have zero tax liability, can I still get a credit for Child Care Expenses?
This year, mine and my husband’s income was substantially less than usual due to a terminal illness in the family. (We moved in with inlaws and helped with care) Anyways, after deductions and such, our tax liability was zero.. does this negate the nessesity for the child care credit?
admin answers:
The child care credit can only be used to reduce your tax liability, so if yours is already at zero, you can’t get any benefit from it. Sorry.

Does anyone know where I can use Care Credit to buy Frontline Plus online?
I need to buy some Frontline Plus for my animals but only have funds available through the Care Credit card. I would like to order it and have it shipped to me but I haven’t been able to find the right words to produce a fruitful search query. Any help appreciated.

Try this site – since it’s usually just a preventative, you shouldn’t need a vet’s RX for this…

Can I be approved for Care Credit with no credit history?
I want to use care credit, but I have no credit history. Could I be approved– I do have a job. How do I get credit history fast if I can?
admin answers:
It’s not just your credit score.
It’s your length of employment, salary, and other financial obligations you may have such as rent that increase your debt to income ratio.
Note: New credit will reduce your credit for the first 6 months.
Be careful of what you do.
I would rather see you apply for Care Credit without trying to open credit cards or open new loans which can lower your credit.
Even if you get a credit card, you still will not have a score for the first 6 months.
If you get a card in your future make sure you pay it in full each month.
Carrying balances can not only destroy credit – it can devastate your life….

So what happened to the child care credit supposed to start July in Canada?
I thought we were supposed to start getting our payments from the child care credit, $1200 a year per child under 6, what’s going on with that?
gee I would have thought I would of got more of a response
admin answers:
I have no children under 6, so I don’t get it. I’m not sure, but I think the first payments might actually start in August (it is 100 dollars a month ). I do know that your child has to be already registered with the government ( if you receive a child tax benefit already than you should be good, as it is just added to your existing benefit that you are getting). If not, you need to fill out a form.

Sandra asks…
How much do you pay a month for care credit?
I want to get dental work done that will cost about 20k and wondering how much I would have to pay a month if I get care credit. (I make 400 month right now until February 2010 where as I will be making 1500 or so) But want to get it done before then..
admin answers:
I’m not a dentist. I can’t see the extent of your dental needs. But I have serious problems with dentists who want to do everything under the sun to make one’s teeth “Hollywood star pretty”.
None of us are dentists and they prey on our lack of knowledge in the field of dentistry and the fear of oral infections and cancer that are low risk but still dangerous.
I would tell the dentist that you can’t afford $20,000 for a new mouth. Just do the cleaning, filling, necessary extractions. Leave the crowns and caps alone. Go with extractions vs root canals. We all have to make evaluations and sacrifices. I’m not going to buy a BMW for my dentists kids. Let them buy their own.
Your monthly payments will probably be arount $1000 (5% of the initial balance).

Laura asks…
If i get approved through Care Credit, is it affective immediately?
I need about $2500 worth of dental work done & i do not have insurance so im thinking of applying for care credit. Anyone know how soon i will be able to use it if im approved?
admin answers:
If you dentist takes Care Credit you can apply for the card right at the dentist office and once you are approved they can bill your card right then & there. Care credit seems like a very good company to work with. Just be careful with what plan you take because if you choose the intrest free plan and it is not paid off by the number of months you picked you will have to pay intrest on the entire thing.

Sharon asks…
Care Credit for dental work – is it easy to get approved?
How hard is it to get approved for credit on dental work through Care Credit?
admin answers:
It really depends. With the current credit situation you need to have a well established good standing credit. You also have the option of applying with a co-signer to give you a better chance of approval.
